Riverbank Planting, Wyrallah

Join Monaltrie Landcare and Conservation Volunteers for a planting.

During the 2022 flooding disaster across the Northern Rivers all creek lines and riverbanks were altered in some way and had a lasting effect on everyone. For the Wilsons River area at Monaltrie the impacts were huge and many landholders lost valuable land, trees and soil. This project aims put back native trees and ground covers that were washed away and help to protect what remains against future flooding events. CVA are teaming up with Monaltrie Landcare and Airseed Tech to give what support we can to the river bank. There will be planting and weeding activities you can participate in as well as some community events so you can learn how to create your own seed bombs. Come and join in to help build a healthier environment and community spirit.
